How to explain about circumcision to children.. so that they are not afraid?

From our experience, pediatric circumcision patients aged 5-7 years are very subjective with pain. sometimes even though the patient's condition has been sedated, they assume the movements during circumcision are painful

For example, when you are circumcised and have been sedated, the doctor puts some clamps on, and there are some pulling movements for the skin of the penis to be circumcised… some pediatric patients perceive the pulling as painful (even though it is not)

to avoid false assumptions about pain

it should be explained to the child that the circumcision process has 3 stages

1. anesthetic (don't say it's injected) tell the child that the anesthetic is a little painful, it feels like being bitten by 5 ants for 5 seconds. and the patient is asked to count one, two, three….. etc
2. cleaning . tell the child that the penis is cleaned for 10 minutes. it feels like being pulled and pulled because there is dirt attached to it. even though during the cleaning process the doctor had performed circumcision.
3. circumcision (even though the pediatric patient has been circumcised) tell the child that after cleaning, the doctor will then be circumcised.

so please avoid the words injection and sewing. because children will be afraid of the word injection and sewing

replace the word injection with anesthetic

replace the word sewing with a tie so the bird doesn't fly

replace the word pain / pain with like being bitten by 5 ants

generally by replacing the word children are more courageous and positive
